Hi,

I am facing some problems in backing up oracle control files.
It seems that the file is being locked by Oracle and I received warnings in the job log.
Oracle should be running in backup mode, else I should receive more warnings or error msgs.

Pls kindly advise. Thanks alot.

The DB agent does not backup files it backs up data and so can not result in a file lock error. It must be from the regular data backup on the system. The Client Agent is supposed to exclude these files automatically, otherwise you can just add an exclude filter to skip them.
