I have a customer with a SX-200 ICP, and a few peripheral cabinets connected via dual FIM. They have a few bad ports on a couple of their ONS cards. I was wondering if I can just rip these cards out without shutting down the power to the entire system. The documentation says "When removing cards from an operating system, turn power off, if possible" and "Cards that must not be removed while the system power is on carry a Caution notice. These cards are Main Control Cards, Bay Control Cards, Bay Control Card or its attached cards.

In my mind that means it's ok since these are just analog cards. Does anyone know for sure? I hate taking down hundreds of people just for a few bad ports.

ONS Cards in a peripheral cabinet are HotSwappable.

Biggest clue is to look at the edge connector. If the Power traces extend further to the edge than the others then your good to go.
