We have the Mitel HX 5000CP in 7 physical locations and they are all linked across the WAN. Our people travel from office to office and we would like to enable Hot Desking so that the working will always have the same extension. Is this possible across the WAN?

From the 5000 help file:
Hot Desking currently does not work across multiple nodes.

You have to Fudge it using Hunt Group and ACD Agent ID's.

Everyone who travels around would have a Hunt Group and the Hunt Group number would be their primary 'extn' number.

Their DDI would also route to this Hunt Group and recall to a CRA that routes it to their Mailbox. (There has to be a dummy ACD agent logged in otherwise the Recall won't work)

The Mailbox could send their VM to them via Voicemail to Email or within the mailbox you can set up remote Notification and set the hunt group to be the remote notification destination.

It's not too bad to set up, I have a company with 6 controllers and around 50 users set up this way, on a base HX as well, they should really have a PS-1 but the controller shows no sign of maxing out it's resources.
