My SYS:\ETC\hosts file keeps changing IP Addresses. I change it the to correct ip and if I have to restart my server, it changes the ip back to the wrong one.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

It is a nw 6 sp3. Things were working fine until recently. Nothing has changed on my end. I haven't loaded any new apps or updates to the server.

This is just one of 2 problems I am having with the other being that no one can send any email. We keep getting 450 host down errors. But that is a different story!

Well, there is nothing in the server that I know of that will auto edit the ETC\HOSTS file. Were are you making your edit from? Console or workstation? Maybe you can try flagging it read-only after you edit it.

On your mail issues, check to ensure you can resolve domain names. Nothing on your end may have changed, but I have seen ISP's change DNS servers on cutomers with out telling them. (and please continue questions on this issue in the GroupWise or appropriate mail system forum).
