I would like to host multiple websites behind my Linksys BEFSR81 router. I have set up the first website by setting the port to 8080 and using a Host Header of This works fine and I can see my site when I type
However, when I do the same thing to the second site I can not get to it. I use port 8080 and a Host Header of so when I type in I would hope to see my site.

I am using the DNS servers of register.com and each website is using different servers. Should they be using the same DNS servers?

TIA
Nate

Thank you for you response.

I am using Win2K Server, IIS 5.0 and I have a static IP from my ISP.

When I ping or is see my static IP. I have port forwarding set to forward 8080 to the IP address assigned to the server (192.168.1.200).

Again, this works with one website but not with two.

Thanks
Nate

Well, if ping returns the correct IP address for both domains, you dns is resolving correctly. Also, if your router forwards one domain correctly, then the router is setup correctly. Now, we are at the web server. This is where I must gracefully bow out, because I use Apache and know very little about IIS. But, when hosting multiple domains, Apache has different areas of the configuration file for each "virtual domain". I suspect that IIS has something similar and recommend that you closely compare the configuration of the 2 virtual domains. Hopefully someone with IIS knowledge can help from here.

I have a website set up on IIS. I also connect via RoadRunner in Ny and use Lynksys BEFSR11.

I have the website working fine locally. I can access it via the local IP, the external IP or the domain name.

If I disconnect the router and connect directy to the web, then I can also access the site.

However when I use the router I can see the suite locally but no one outside my LAN can see it.

I have set up forwarding on the LinkSys config.

I am stumped!

Depending on which version of firmware your running, disable SPI & block WAN request

THANK YOU smah

I had followed instructions from Lynksys Tech Support and gotten nowhere. In fact I spent hours getting my connection back to normal.

Your solution took 3 mins and worked perfectly!
