Horizontal lines in PDF files

Acrobat cuts up images into horizontal sections but doesn't have any bleed which makes the horizontal lines very visible.

It's a bugger. I've tried to experiment to find out what option turns on/off this 'feature'. Obviously, if it's going to print and lines appear in the print whereas they don't appear on the screen can cause horrible headaches...

Does anyone have more insight in this feature, and more importantly, how to turn it off?

Cheers

I have seen lines in PDFX1a that seem to conform to text and graphic boxes that have transparency, and are flattened. This has only been in the screen preview however, and print perfectly. I have been able to eliminate the bad preview, by making a PDF with layers, (it's a click box setting in Distiller).
The layered PDF can also be printed, if it's made "high-quality".
I'm not sure if this is your problem, but maybe it helps.

I don't think there is a solution to this, you might try an alternative program.
