hooking HP5SI laser to sco unix

I am trying to hook a HP laserjet 5SI to my sc unix workstation thru parallel port need help, is it plug & play?

sc unix workstation = what OS? what version?

it will be running on SCO Unix Open Server Enterprise Release 5

will require you to add it as a printer using either scoadmin or mkdev lp.
Probably will use model HPLaserJet. And it may not take advantage of all of the machine's capabilities.

Depending upon which version of OpenServer5, you may also need to run "mkdev parallel" to add that port to the kernel.
