I have a homepage set for all workstations in my domain via Group Policy and it seems to be working but sometimes when you open IE it goes to this page.

Now the homepage is still set you hit home and it goes to our intranet like it should.

Why is the DL link coming up every so often?

Sounds like the workstations are trying to do a microsoft update what OS is on the workstations?

That is normal behavior for IE. I cannot remember how to disable it, but I think there is a policy or registry value to remove it. It is just set to happen every so often.

go to your control panel click on automatic updates and make sure the radio button is in turn off automatic updates or any option you would like.

Since we are in a network I use the autmatic updates along with the WSUS program to send out updates to my machines.

I'll see if there's anyway to turn that off.
