Home network keeps losing cable signal

I have cable internet with a router that has 2 computers hooked to it. Every so often, sometimes every 30 minutes or so and other times once or twice a day, we lose our internet connection. We have to unplug the electrical to the router and reset our computers. I'm running XP so mine resets automatically but my wife is on W98 and has to go through the msconfig routine.

What's happening and whats causing this?

I had the same problem with DSL. Turned out that my address block had been assigned to another user and we were knocking each other off...so give the cable co a call. tmp.Worldwide
