Originally when I set up my computer it was for home use. Now it is in the office and I want to be able to set up to connect to the network domain.

I have Home Edition (did not see a forum for this) and would like to know what settings I need to change in order so that when I start my computer it allows me to log into the network domain.

thanks

Hi markajem

I don't think that this is possible, XP Home is designed so that it has basic networking functionaility (this is one of the advantages of having XP Pro).

However as far as I know this isnt possible to get Home to connect to a domain.

Time to upgrade ;)

pauljex is correct. The main difference between Home and Pro versions of XP is Home cannot join a Domain.

I've seen third-party software advertised that is supposed to overcome the no-domain limitation of XP home. Do a search for "XP Home" and domain and see what you can find. I can't attest to it's reliability or functionality.

As it's now in the office get the company to buy XP pro.
