hi everyone..
i got the latest of all installed on this box (Debian testing/KDE3.1.2) and all works perfectly fine,
however i have a problem with [HOME] and [END] keys not functioning while running some ncurses apps over _any_ remote shell in KDE's Konsole.
tried it on several different remote hosts.. they all showed the same behaviour with this box.. and worked fine with others
they work fine locally in Konsole running the same apps..
i also found out they worked perfectly fine locally _and_ remotely when used in rxvt, xconsole, xterm, on this box..
so my conclusion is.. [HOME] and [END] keys only malfunction on this box when i'm in Konsole (they work in other terminal emus ) and i'm in a remote shell connection.
$TERM is "xterm"
i tried other TERM definitions but none solved the problem
i checked all the obvious,
i read guides like (which are great btw )
modified /etc/inputrc, even got to modify xterm term definition, fiddled with /usr/share/apps/konsole/default.Keytab.. still no luck
i have another box running Debian testing, and Konsole seems fine there..
i tried comparing settings and found no significant difference..
any help would be greatly appreciated
