Currently our main number is in a hunt group that just rings at the console and we don’t use Holiday tables but we want to place a one on our companies main number.

Are these the correct steps?

• Create a Holiday table with the dates
• Create a VDN with our main number
• Create a Vector with the holiday table

If our main number is changed to a VDN will our operator have to login to accept calls?

You can do it the same way you are doing it now, other than you are using a vector at the front end of the call. When you go through the call processing, just route the call to the attendant, the same way you do it now.

I love the holiday tables, they can help in so many ways. We use 2 holiday tables, one for the actual holiday, and another one, to warn our callers that we are going to be closed. We set it up for about a week before the actual holiday.

I know I simplified it, but if you want more detail, let me know.

gblucas,

I am creating a test vector before implementing but would it look like this?

CALL VECTOR

Number: 3 Name: TEST
Multimedia? n Attendant Vectoring? n Meet-me Conf? n Lock? n
Basic? y EAS? y G3V4 Enhanced? y ANI/II-Digits? y ASAI Routing? n
Prompting? y LAI? y G3V4 Adv Route? y CINFO? y BSR? y Holidays? y
Variables? y 3.0 Enhanced? y
01 wait-time 2 secs hearing ringback
02 goto vector 10 @step 1 if holiday in table 1
03 route-to number 1100 with cov n if unconditionally

Personally I like the holiday feature and the time-of-day option to route calls only during office hours.

I use 2 holiday tables as well, 1 for the holiday and 1 for the days our office is closed for some other reason. This way our customers hear the right annoucement.

If you have attd-vectoring you can also use annoucements to let the callers know they are connected to your office when the attd is busy and repeat a message like every 20 sec.

If you don't have attd vectoring just use the example:

Number: 1 Name: Mainnumber
Multimedia? n Attendant Vectoring? n Meet-me Conf? n Lock? n
Basic? y EAS? y G3V4 Enhanced? y ANI/II-Digits? y ASAI Routing? n
Prompting? y LAI? y G3V4 Adv Route? y CINFO? y BSR? y Holidays? y
Variables? y 3.0 Enhanced? y
01 wait-time 2 secs hearing ringback
02 goto step 7 if holiday in table 1
03 goto step 9 if time-of-day is fri 17:00 to mon 08:00
04 goto step 9 if time-of-day is all 17:00 to all 08:00
05 route-to number 1100 with cov y if unconditionally
06 stop
07 disconnect after announcement 18001
08 stop
09 disconnect after announcement 18002
10 stop

1100 can be the huntgroup number, so you can use the hunt-ns feature to make a break option so the reception can visite the toilet. Leave the huntgroup empty and give it a coverage path to the attd. This way you can use the 6 appearence buttons on the attd.

Or just make 1100 a list directory number.

Hope it helps, otherwise leave a message.

And no the attd doesn't need to login, just use pos-busy and nightservice if you like.

THANKS THIS HELPS ALLOT! I have one question if our main number is 1100 doesnt it have to be taken from the hunt group and made the VDN? How does it hit the vector if not?

I added 1100 to our directory list and programmed the Vector below. IT WORKS PERFECT!

THANKS Have a good Holiday all!

I thought this was working but the calls did not route to step 7 for calls made afterhours or on the weekend?

I added 1100 to our directory list and programmed the Vector below. If our main number is 1100 doesnt it have to be taken from the hunt group and made the VDN? How does it hit the vector if not?
