I am trying to set up the standard holdmusic.wav file for an ip403 system. I need some directions and I need the actual file because the person before me ran off with the tools cd. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For what it's worth, the Hold Music wav is only about 15-30 seconds of a clip of music. I would just use the external MOH, but I may be voted down on this.
If you have the time I would download the entire 3.1.56 cd from Avaya and upgrade your system, or maybe someone knows where you can get your version from Avaya.
Also if you are using VMPRo I would download that too and upgrade.
Thanks so much, jml2665 and tmgpbx. I appreciate the info. My problem with an external device is having to pay for one. The owner of the company is not keen on shelling out anything if he knows there is something free to use, which he knows about the hold music concept. Is there an external device, that's inexpensive, that you can recommend? Thanks!
you could just put together your own 30 wav files and load them into manager, then each time the IPO reboots it will get this file and play it. I find this rather boring cause it's only 30 seconds. I had a couple customers use this but eventually they purchased small inexpensive MP3 players that could be AC powered directly so they don't have to worry about batteries. Also have one customer who uses their backup server as a player, just opened media player, set it up to repeat all the mp3 files, and connected up the speaker output to the IPO
We have taken our server with VM pro and used the media player to play our music list which includes both music and any announcements. This is great for when we need to add holliday or up comming events at a moments notice. just get a plug (wire) from radio shack that has a double male end for the input/output jacks of the two systems. I have yet to find a way for itunes to automaticaly load and run the radio on restart.
