Hold

1. I am working with a G3V6i, the users are complaining that when they put someone on hold after a while it puts the caller into voice mail

2. They are also complaining that when they are on hold after a while the line drops.

Can anyone tell me what configuration I need to look at.

Are they using analog or digital sets?
on an analog set you have a flash hold
which is a short hold, and the call will drop.

We are using digital sets

Somewhere, I think in the system parameters, there are some timer settings for hold times. You might check and see how they are set.
