I work for a local govt. We have Front page server extensions installed on our web server, but I am not sure if they are configured correctly. A hit counter i put on the entry page does not count hits. Just always says the same number. Anybody know anything about the server extension?

You need to recalculate your web using the mmc. Right click on the web name and select Task the Recalculate the web. In FP2002 its web based.
