Hi,

We are monitoring a process in Windows 2000, to alert if cpu and memory usage exceeds certain thresholds.

Is there anyway in the historical performance agent that we can collect stats from a Windows 2000 process ??

We need the data to check how much of memory a process is using.

Unicenter 2.4.2
SQL 7.0

Hi!!!

If you want to monitor processes real-time you need to install Performance Agent (prfAgent) and use the performance Scope where you can set a threshold to alert when the process reachs the limit.

If you need to store the resources for a time period such as a month, you need to install the Historical Performance Agent and use the Performance Configuration to create a profile, the profile contains the resources you need to collect historical data
After you create the profile you need to distribute to machines that have the Historical Performance Agent.
So, finally you need to use the performance Trend to generate charts about the resources collected.
The interfaces are very simple to use, but if you want more details please don´t hesitate to call me.
