Hello i have a teriblle case about HIPATH 4000 V.2 When we backup the database we get the following errors below. Even AMOs won't recognize commands...S3: LOAD ERROR FOR DATA SUBSYSTEM OF AMO FUNCT EXCEPTION CODE : H'8442 HD is out probably.
may I ask a colleague who had tried to change the hard disk hipat 4000 v. 2 in a working mode I. have done everything possible in specified ways to get to boot Devices from the hard disk but do not get singular commands that let me write are Please if some did it to share experience.I think to do the following :
1. RESTART;- via cOM wIN if is possible.
2. manual start button IN FRONT PANEL on the command module - RESET .
3. probably here if boot it will try to push the hard disk and so 5 attempts should be made on 6 experience it should push MO.
4 Press the button LCD and Then RESET - this should get her alone to boot MO.
5.Finally change the hard drive in operation.
I would be grateful if some colleague shared experience.Thank you.

Hi,
Is this a SCSI Hard Disk with MO on a removable tray ?

Have you tried the following:

Set Time and Date ?
CHA-DATE

Activate the Hard Disk
CHA-DSSM:A1,1;
ACT-DSSM:A1,1;

Hi,yes it is SCSI HD MO DEVICE .

Yes it did, but this has no effect.
CHA-DSM: A1,1;
ACT-DSM: A1,1;
But only so other commands are not letting me write via ComWin.I did restart and manually boot from MO and PBX now operates in MO .
Thank You for thread.

Hi,
If it now operates in MO and you are happy with that then you could prepare another hard disk and copy the MO contents to that?
COPY-DDRSM:A1,6,E&F,1,E&F,N;

Hi,i will but I probably will have a problem here because I do not have the necessary tool / software / and I have not done this if it suits you and you I will be grateful if you could tell me how I can prepare the hard disk. Thank you.

Hi,
Well...

Do you use the Assistant (Unixware 7) ?

If not then it is just a case of re-initializing the Hard Disk and copying over from the MO to the Hard Disk within the HiPath.
Then reload from the disk
So if you do not need the Assistant
STA-INIT:A1,A1H11;
ACT-DSSM:A1,1;
DEA-DSSM;A1,1;
COPY-DDRSM:A1,6,E&F,1,E&F,N;
EXE-REST:SYSTEM,RELOAD,STD;

If you need assistant:
Setup a SCSI card on XP or Win 7
Format it if it is a used disk (to remove old Unixware versions)
Install PCHI program
Initalize the disk using PCHI
Copy over the HiPath programs
Put into system
Backup on to it.

ok thank you for advice and i will do it. but a question if is all ready don in this case pbx will boot from HD after this comands. Thank you.

Hi,
PBX is booting from the MO currently.

If you copy E&F to the Hard Disk it will boot from Hard Disk.

You would have to setup a new hard disk for the Unix or copy the Unix from an install MO

But as i said if you are not using Assistant then that should be fine.

Also if it does not start up from the Hard Drive it will try from the MO drive.

Hi, thanks for all.I will write a message saying what happened.
