Hi !

I have another problem that I just realized...I can´t forward calls from a DN registered in Hipath 2036 to a DN in Hipath 3800 or other 2036, but I can do it backwards.

I can forward calls between DNs inside a local hipath 2036, but can´t do it to external hipath´s.

What could be happening here ?

I had this problem once... In your dial plan, in addition to having your local extensions set up as stations you also have to have all of the other digit ranges in your network entered as stations and then set them to the route of the appropriate other HiPath that knows what to do with it.

In my case I have a huge block of DID numbers and I contacted the phone company and asked them to drop 100 new numbers on one of my remote systems. I created all of the extensions I needed on those numbers just fine but couldn't call them from any of my other sites. Eventually I had a "duh" moment and realized I had to add those extensions to the dial plans at all my other sites so I was allowed to dial the digits, and then I had to assign them to the route back to my "main" system that knows how to route them to all the other sites.

That was where I found my boo boo, so it might be similar.

Well, I kept doing some calls and here is what I found:
- An extension (DN) registered in hipath 2036 cannot transfer or forward to hipath 2036 or hipath 3800.
- I called using another extension in another hipath 2036, and the same thing happened, I couldn´t forward calls to hipath 3800 nor hipath 2036.

It seems that the problem resides in hipaths 2036, I can transfer/forward calls between extensions inside each hipath, but cannot do it for external hipaths.

Ok...I checked and we have configured the dial plan for extensions in externals hipaths (3800 and 2036), and these lists are using a route through channels CORNET-NQ.

I checked also that TRANSFER OPTION doesn´t appear on the phone menu (I saw conference, return to retained, end call ). On the other hand, if I call internal extensions on each hipath, TRANSFER OPTION appears on the menu.

There is one other place you can look. Under classes of service there should be the connection matrix that says what can connect to what - make sure everything can connect to everything.

There is also the LCOSS settings under lines/networking that determine what the privileges on side A are equal to on side B - this makes sure the COS permissions on one side are equivalent to the COS permissions on the other side....

Maybe one of those settings is hosed up. As usual write down how everything was set before changing anything!

Is your LCR dial plan set up correctly?

If these two systems are connected via IP, then the LCR dial plan and the HG1500 or equivalent card will determine where the calls are routed to?

Can you ring the other ext's that you are trying to forward to?

Also remember that you can look in the maintenance part of the programming and call monitor the ext you are testing to see how it routes through the system/systems.

Also it is worth trying the service locally and externally on the PSTN side rather than the link and keep trying to isolate where the fault is residing?

The connection matrix is really for when you divide the system up if it is to be used for multi tenancy?

Has this ever worked?

Do you have remote access for the sites?

If so what are the numbers? And the user names and passwords an i can take a look?

Hi !

Just to clear that it was the route type on Routing Parameters. The route type had to have the PBX checkbox activated.

Thanks donb01, siemensgeezer.
