Dear Master,

I have 3 unit HP3800 on workshop and planned for interconnection using IP trunk using HG board. Extension already mapped 1xxx for A, 2xxx for B, 3xxx for C. I try searching over google to get IP trunking documentations for HP3800 but not found, most documents for HP4K. Any suggest prefer using H.323 or SIP trunking? I would be very grateful if there is a documentation for IP trunking. I'm really not familiar to manage HP3800 because im usually manage on HP4K.

With kindly regards,

you set the trunks as cornet-ip trunks, then use lcr for routing
best done on vpn on off site systems

I try to configure, and this is step by step that i already try on HP3K A:

Any advice please.

Hi,

My understanding is that h323 networking has to use trunk group 16. There are some set trunks groups in the 3000, eg Trk Grp 8 is for Openscape office server, and from memory 12 to 15 are for sip providers.

line number 39 and 40 should be line type: ip trunking
dont use ext h.323 at all. gatekeeper, trunking mode h.323 Q
on ip trukk route
Lines/ routing parameters,
no.type =internal
check:change route and radip button :if route is known
route type pabx
Call number type internal/did
un-check all routing flags

lcr setup

for internal calls setup (each site dont enter own lead number range (-1xx)
-1xx
-2xx
-3xx
point internal to its own route table ip trunk route, and set dial plan to
network provider method of to: corporate network
dial rule = E2A
cos 15

if each site has own trunks for external calling then set 0cz to table 1 with route as external trunks and dialplan as main network supplier and rule is also E2A and cos 15

this should have you calling between sites, any other settings you can get going once this is working first

make sure the gateway is set in routing

Dear guys,

im already test on my system as you suggest, here is the update.
A 3XXX --------------------> Switch hub <----- B 4XXX
HG IP addr 192.168.1.11/24 | HG IP addr 192.168.1.21/24
|
C 5XXX
HG IP addr 192.168.1.31/24

im already configure C 5XXX as captured below, also i try configure B 4XXX but when i check trunks status on B still "Line Failure".

Hi,

In your dial rule you have E2A but there is no separator so the rule should be A or E1A.

Under ip networking data in the HG card, check keep alive is set to ping. The systems use this to check the other end is available. After this reset the hg card on each system.

Also under maintenance in Man E there is the call monitoring option. Turn this on for the extn making the call and see if the system is trying to seize the ip trunks.
