Hello,

I am looking for a way to automate the extract of the KDS or CDB of the HiPath 3000. I would like to write a script, but is there a way to get the CDB with FTP or TFTP?
I sniffed the network with HiPath Manager E and the protocol used for file transfert in on port 7000, but proprietary.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Are you doing this for backup purposes? I'm wondering why you can't just download it with Manager E and save it off somewhere? That's what I do - I just made a recurring PM procedure to check the switch area, UPS, etc and download a copy of the DB for backup.

Yes, Backup purpose, but I don't want to do it manually, we have 55 HiPath 3000 and no time to do this manually.

Cheers,

Wow.... Yeah, I wouldn't want to either! Unfortunately I can't ask one of the techs that question because I don't have a 3000 and they would question why I'm asking. I have a 150, which is kind of the same thing as a 3750 I think, but I have remote access to that with dial-up so it's not an issue.

Hello,
Thank, in fact there is a Metamanagement application RSM for the 3000 familly, but it's submitted to licences.. I am waiting for the pricing... will see.
Cheers
