I think I have a virus I can not get rid of. I have ran adaware, spybot, a2 squared, xoftspy and hijack this and have found a few things and removed them, however, I have lost access to my harddrives and internet explorer will not load. The programs still work except IE but I can not get to my hard drives. I am posting the hijack log. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Registry
system folders
services

the log here with a new hijack this log.

or more, depending on how many drives you have and how badly infected your
pc is.

Highlight the portion of the scan that lists infected items and hold
CTRL + C to Copy then paste it here. The whole log with be extremely
big so there is no way to copy the whole thing. I just need the
infected items list.

OK, here we go. I downloaded Java update, but still can't access control panel to uninstall the old versions. When I click on it the entire desktop disappears then about 3 seconds later comes back on.

The vundo fix came back with no infected files.

Well good morning again and here are the latest results. I still can not access anything in my computer unless it happens to be on my desktop.

Avenger results:
Error: selected file does not appear to be a valid script.
Error code: 1813

I could not delete the file from documents and settings because I can not get to it. I have ran adaware, spybot, xoftspy and all the other ones you instructed me to run and fixed everything they found. I can't get any online scans to run completely, they run for a little bit then my entire window shuts down. Hijack this will not delete the files, they just keep coming back.

Have you tried running the fixes in safe mode?

Click Start > Run > and type in:

services.msc

Click OK.

In the services window find AVG Antipsyware guard
Right click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service
Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type"
in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK. Exit the
Services utility.

Note: You may get an error here when trying to access the properties of the
service. If you do get an error, just select the service and look there in
the top left of the main service window and click "Stop" to stop the service. If that gives an error or it is already stopped, just skip this step and proceed with the rest.

You can re-enable this after you are clean!

Try and run avenger again and see if it will remove those files?

Download & run

Save the log and post back here with the log.

please download

unzip it to desktop

Click on rootkit tab & then scan

when it has finished press copy & post that log back here

you might have to attach it as it might be too big to post

Don't fix anything with it and don't panic about the amount of entries
most will be perfectly normal

post another log, the wpfind, gmer and the rootkit log!

did i miss something or have you disabled Restore Points?

you MUST disable this or everytime you reboot after cleaning malicious files will return.

do this first, then boot into Safe mode and follow the above suggestions for cleaning - without being connected to the internet.

Deleting restore points simply means the person has no restore points to go back to, it is preferable to have a bad restore point to fall back onto rather than nothing at all!

If you disable system restore make sure to make a new restore point!

Anything in system restore can only be accessed by system restore.

that is over 2 years old and some tools can clean files in system restore like AVG antispyware and MWav.

Once the victim is clean then have them clean out system restore and then have them make a new restore point!
