High Exec CPU/DoS

Why could a router have 6 separate exec processes running using 90% CPU.

Its seems to relate to 6 tty connections.

What are tty connections?

It seems to be causing the internet connection to fail.

Serial interface and proto are still up.

could this be Dos?

Do a show users and see who is causing this , and if possible clear these lines .

Could be a hacking attempt, at least that's what it would seem, as you have 6 TTY's open, chewing up proc time.

Set up an ACL to block Telnet to your TTY lines

Hello there, can you paste in here the output of show mem sum only the first 3 lines and sho proc cpu? Also, it will be a good idea to clear the counters and capture a show int to see if any of your interfaces has lots of activities....
