Hi

I have a table of data which has formulas to calcute the restuls based on options which people select from a drop down box. Depending on what they select some of the rows may return blank figures. Is there anyway I can automatically tell excel to hide a row if a particular cell is equal is blank (equal to zero)
Thanks

Paul

only using VBA - you can set conditional formatting to set the font to white dependant on formula result but other than that, you are looking at event driven code to do something like that

If your Drop Down is an autofilter then have you considered extending it to cover the value field and then just have them filter on Not Equal to 0?

Thanks Ken. I thought that I would only be able to do it using VBA.

You can apply autofilter to every field in your data and they can have use combinations of filters to get very specific about what data they look at. There is an option in the dropdown called custom that allows you to get even fancier by specifying not equal to 0 etc etc. You can also make use of normal IF/THEN statements etc to create your own fields, returning a TRUE or FALSE depending on your criteria, and then just filter on that field. Lots of options there.
