Hello,

I need to be able to hide either the "Delete Record" option in the EDIT menu. Ideally I would like to hide all of the menus completly as it is causing a few problems.

Is there a way to do this? It doesn't matter if the menus come back when SHIFT is pressed at startup.

Thanks!

Joseph

I generally define my own custom toolbars and menubars. You can make them so they only have 1 option - Exit. Then in the properties of forms and reports set your custom toolbars to open with the forms and reports. MVas

Thanks for that - but is there a way to add this option to the database itself, rather than just to MS Access.

The problem is, that the changes don't "follow" the database around. The menu reverts to the original style on a different PC.

If you define a custom toolbar. Go to Tools..Toolbars..Customize give your toolbar a name and then add features to it, Then go to the properties of a form and set the menu bar and the toolbar for that form to one you just defined it WILL follow the database around. I have done it many times without a problem. I have distributed my databases to many users and the custom toolbars always appear.

You can also go to Tools and Startup and turn off the built-in toolbars but I don't like that feature at all. I prefer to build my own custom toolbars. MVas

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood what you said first time around. You are, of course, correct - it's all working how I want it to now!

Thanks for your help!
