Hi:

I'm new to ACCESS. Is there a way to hide the toolbars from the "knowledgable" users AND prevent them from unhiding it?

Thanks

I would suggest creating your own menu bars and toolbars. Then you can control to what the user has access.

98% of the database I've put together contain the following:

1. Main Form (Your portal)
2. Main Edit Form
3. Report Criteria Form
4. Maintenance forms (for your lookup tables)

Therefore, I create 4 menus (1 for each type) and 2 toolbars (1 for the main edit form and one for all of the maintenance forms). Note that the Main Form and the Report Criteria form don't need toolbars.

Once you have created the menu bars and toolbars, simply set the menu Bar and Toolbar properties of the form.

If you don't know how to create custom Menu Bars and Toolbars, let us know. It's pretty easy.
