Hide specific users from directory 1

I would like to be able to hide specific users when callers use the dial-by-last name feature to look someone up. This
thread940-1678202 mentioned removing the Full Name or deleting the name greeting, but neither of those solutions work. Is there any easy way to do this?

Thats good to know.

I have only used that to remove the user or groups from the Contact list thats accessed from the phone.

Did not know it also removed them from the DIAL BY NAME as well.

Thank you. I should have specified that it would be nice if I could keep the user in the office phone Contacts, but make unsearchable through the automated phone system when people call in.
