I have a w2k server running backup exec...each night the backed up data size is approx 100M bigger than night before...Considering our company size there is virtually no chance we are creating that much new data per day...Can anyone tell me where/if there are hidden directories/files/backup copies of things? I tried a search and then sorted by file size to see anything big...nothing. I get alot of log files but they aren't that big on a daily basis....any ideas? Thanks

can u really elaborate the things
like which directories are u taking backup of,
taking it manually,difrrential,etc.
details would be helpful

I think I finally got it...Another member of our support team had set up a back up to run on our cobalt email server...that data was backing up a full set of data every night...which is about 100M - So I changed that to modified data...It just took awhile to find because of where it was and that it wasn't quite 100M so I was missing it on my searches...but in case it wasn't that ...I had a file awhile back that was a msexcl97.key...that file grew to several terabytes in size - unexplained. My backup started failing a couple nights in a row...and after searching I found this file, which also went to a hidden file during the blow up...and that was problem. I deleted it, replaced w/ clean one and all was ok, but all of that led me to wonder this time what other "hidden" things are out there. Thanks for asking for clarification...and heres hoping my problem is behind me...but if not...I'll be back!
