Hidden Control on Report

Currently I am working on an access database, not of my own creation, where it would seem that a control is present that references a field that either no longer exists, or was typed incorrectly. The problem is that each time the report is run it pops up looking for a parameter exactly as the control source is typed, but the control itself is not visibly present on the report. I have run the Database Documenter and it confirms that the control is present and named as per the parameter box that appears when running the report.

No matter what I have done (changing the show hidden objects checkbox under navigation options, highlighting all controls to see if I can find a really tiny object, etc.) I can't find it anywhere on the report. Is there an easy way of locating such a control so it can be removed? It has absolutely no use to report (at least now).

It may be under something. But you should be able to use the selection combo box on the properties dialog which will then make it selected. Then just go to the menu and select DELETE. It should remove it.

Your prompt also may be in an underlying query referencing a field that has since changed.

Or now that I realized that it was a report, Greg's response also jogged me to remind you that it could also be in the Report's Sorting and Grouping.

Bob,
Good call on the "selection combo box on the properties dialog". I have typically used the object selector combo box at the far left of the "Formatting (Form/Report)" tool bar.

The combo on the properties dialog might be easier to reference for most users.

The selection combobox doesn't list the control I am looking for so this may be something a little deeper. The Database Documenter states it as part of Grouping 0, but it doesn't show up visually on the report during Design View and it doesn't show up visually anywhere else except as part of the report generated by the documenter. I am probably going to have to look into the grouping and sorting as recommended since this is not an obvious control in any means normally seen.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but I do realize how to look through Access in order to do the visual changes most of you had suggested from above. This litterally is a nothing but absolutely hidden control. Unfortunately the database is of sensitive nature to the client so i can't just simply upload it, but here is a quick blurb from the documenter report if anyone perhaps sees something that I don't that might help in tracking this bugger control down once and for all!
