Hello guys.

I need some help with my Hicom300E.

I have a digital board Q2158-X, and its not working properly.
Find a Q2168-X and buy it, the seller says to me its working fine and i'll have no problems with it.
I put it in my slot (1-2-25) and do the command, "CHANGE-BCSU:pARTNO,1,2,25,,"Q2168-X";" , but it returns to me :
H500: AMO BCSU STARTED
F03: MODULE CODE NUMBER OR FUNCTION ID INVALID
PARTNO2 =
AMO-BCSU -24 BOARD CONFIGURATION, SWITCHING UNIT
CHANGE TERMINATED;

I do the display command too, and it returns :

<DISPLAY-BCSU:TYPE=TBL,LTG=1,LTU=2,SLOT=25;
DISPLAY-BCSU:TYPE=TBL,LTG=1,LTU=2,SLOT=25;
H500: AMO BCSU STARTED

ADDRESS | ASSIGNED MODULE FID| |INSERTED MDL|STATE| HW-INFO| MDL. STATUS|
----------+------------------------+-+------------+-----+--------+------------+
1.2 . 25 | Q2158-X SLMO24 |*| UNKNOWN | | | MAN_AMO |

AMO-BCSU -24 BOARD CONFIGURATION, SWITCHING UNIT
DISPLAY COMPLETED;

If i try to change the BCSU for Q2158-X in the place of Q2168-x its works!! (tried in analogic to digital, only for tests, in a empty slot)

When i put my Q2158-x in other empty slot its show the correct information that Q2158-x is inserted in the place of UNKNOWN.

Anyone can help me? My seller swears that the card is working.
I'm thinking its a version problem or something.

Im using a Hipath4000 5.0.92
My version is

ISPLAY-VEGAS:LIST=SHORT,UNIT=SWU&ADS;
H500: AMO VEGAS STARTED
SYSTEM NO. AMO APS NO. START USER STATUS
SWU: L31997Y5041X00001 REGEN P30252B3900B00104 22.02.16 09:53 PHONO FINISHED
ADS: L31997Y5041X00001 REGEN P30252B3900A00104 22.02.16 10:01 PHONO FINISHED

AMO-VEGAS-102 ADMIN. OF DATABASE GENERATION RUNS ON SUPPORT SYSTEM
DISPLAY COMPLETED;
HicomVariant=EV1.0-SA04

Thanks for helping!!

PS : I do not find anything about it in the forum.

When you Change Part Number you need to ensure that the q1234-x has three spaces before the inverted commas """"
Example:
"Q1234-X000"
Or
"Q1234-X "
Or
"Q1234-X123"

Its returns to me the same message :

F03: MODULE CODE NUMBER OR FUNCTION ID INVALID

Im a bit desperate at the moment, because this digital board (Q2158-X) have every presidency, CEO, directors, etc, and it s disabling by itself, every 2~3 hours.

Why did you title the thread Hicom 300 if you have a 4000??? The process is a lot easier on a 4000.....

If you have one already installed or newly installed then you know the FCTID - Function ID
It is looking for the new Function ID
Alternative is to REG everything on that card.
Delete everything on that card
Delete the card
Add new card
Add extensions again

@sbcsu
I've already tried that, dont work too.

@donb01
The hardware is a Hicom300E, but my software was that Hipath4000 Manager version 5.0.92.

Yeah guys, i think my Hicom300 doesnt support the Q2168-X, only Q2158-X. The seller is sending me a Q2158-X.

Thanks for support!

Try
DIS-BGDAT;
and look for your board to see if it is supported on that system.
It should list out the cards and the loadware for them

The reason I asked is because normally on a Hicom 300 you do not have access to the database from Direct AMO and have to sneak in through the RMX port to make changes to BCSU. On the 4000 it doesn't case as much other than you need to be licensed for what you're doing, and there are highway and shelf load parameters to take into consideration.

I assume you have one of those early things where they took a 30 EP or an 80EP and retrofitted the CC Shelf with a 4000 processors and guts? In that case there are some board considerations, because one example is the STMI2 and STMI4 boards - the STMI2 came out with release 2 of the software, and the STMI4 with release 4. I'm not up on all the software numbers, but if I'm understanding that you might have release V1.0 SA04 for the 300E conversion. It could also be possible that board had been in a newer system and has software in it that yours can't understand.

Also I see from above that you have MAN AMO against a card which means that you have it deactivated anyway.
To Activate a board:
Example:
ACTIVATE-BSSU:ONTYPE=AUL,LTG=1,LTU=2,SLOT=3;

@sbcsu

<DIS-BGDAT;
S3: DATA SUBSYSTEM FOR AMO BGDAT NOT FOUND ON HARD DISK

I think my PABX is older than me...hahaha

@donb01

Thanks for the explanation man, but i think my Hicom300E don't understand the Q2168-X because of the version of it, it is on version 1.0 and that board is for 2.0 or newer versions.

Guys, thanks for all the support, but my new Q2158-X in the place of Q2168-X.

Guys, sorry for noobsish.

My new board Q2158-X is here, but when i connect it to the PABX it not works, only stay in NFS (Not functional State) and it always red.
Anyone can help me please?

I tried to change the BCSU but it not works, the board is the same (Q2158-X) and when i tried to DELETE-BCSU and the respective SLOT, not works too.
Tried to reg-bcsu; too and not works.

Try ACT-BSSU enter AUL for ONTYPE= and the parts of the PEN it asks you for (ltg, LTU, slot) and end the slot number with a ;

See if that loads it. If the board is manually deactivated by AMO as it showed in your first post I think, it may not start up automatically when you install it because you have to tell it to activate with the AMO....
