I had a Siemens Hicom 150E sustain a power spike and now it continues to loop and will not boot. It seems to light all of the cards but the digital card stays red and the processor hangs on 3 in the display before cycling again. This system has a CBMOD - 6 SLA16 analog cards - 1 SLMO digital card and a TMGL8 Trunk card. I have replaced the power supplies - 2 cabinet system.
Any help would be appeciated

I have had issues with those power supplies - they are flaky.

I would suggest swapping them around a bit and re-seat all of the cards, including the flash card and the IMOD card.

8. is the CPU test
2 is initializing RAM
3 is detecting flash card/cabinet type
4 is processor timer test
5 not used
6 HDLC / MTSC / Serial Reset Test
7, 8 and 9 are not used.

I believe the number increments after the successful completion of the test, so I would assume the test that is failing is the processor timer test, which may indicate a need to replace the CBMOD (which is surprisingly cheap!).

This data is based on Release 2.0/3.0 (150H 1.0) of the system.

Thanks for the info - I ended up pulling all the cards but the CBMOD and the digital card and initializing the system. The system came up and after reinstalling all of the remaining cards it was just a matter of Americanizing the unit and reloading a saved copy of the database.

Ach Tung Baby !

Thanks for your advice
