Hi guys.

Yesterday I decided to bring up an old PBX (Hicom 100 E) whitch we haven't used in my workplace already a couple of years, i almost found everything of it except a manual and a software (if such is ?!?! (firmware update)). I found some pages in internet, but there is not enaugh information.

Can somebody help me out with it or give an advice where to find it?

And question about V.24 interface and serial cable: i only managed to get out reports trough it, is there a way to manage PBX troug it? Is it possible to do it trough terminal or I need a special software?

Best regards, Juris.

Yes this is the one. Model "SIEMENS Hicom 118 IM", found on label.

The lead coming from it should be black and havea 9 pin D connector on one end and a SLIP type connector on the other. The 9 pin can go into your service pc and you will need software (assistant L) but this is not widely available as that system is now obsolete.

You can use that port for programming.

BTW what could be aproximate price of this PBX ?
It has 2xSLAS-8 and S0-4 expansion modules.

Here in the UK, probably about £500-600.

Its about 8 years old now.

Take a look at this platform:

There, you may find a FAQ which deals with this type of hicom telecom systems.
You will find a good manual how to set up your system.
It is for private users and managed by hicom enthusiasts. However, it is a german platform and you will need someone who has a good command of the german language.

I hope I could help you

Best regards
Armin
