Hi ,
we are using Informatica Powermart 5.1.
We need to delete several files in a directory of our server during execution of a mapping.
If possible, how can it be done.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I dont see any straight forward way of doing this thru Informatica, but may be a command prompt script triggered at the end of the session can do the same OR you can call a COM object to delete the same, during the session.

Well, if there is any other way, it will surely help all I suppose.

As Buzzone said, you can use a script called as a post-session operation to perform the relevant deletes. I know this can be done if you are operating on UNIX.

The only difficulty might be if the filenames are not constant in which case you need to be more clever.

Hi

even the files vary you can still delete all the files whether you are working on windows NT/Unix or whatever OS.

In windows
Go the directory location wherever you intend to delete the files

dir > list

Read the files one by one in a loop
delete the file one by one

Probabely a C program executable called from the
informatica should be able to do this work for you
