Hi,

On an AIX 4.2.1 machine I get the message on the cosule:

"rpc_statd : 1831-115 cannot talk to statd at Brisque05"

Brisque05 was removed from the network 2 weeks ago,my station was rebooted.
Brisque05 does not appear in /etc/hosts or anywhere in /etc files,neither in "arp -a".
There is no router on the network.

Any ideas?

Did you ever had any NFS filesystem from Brisque05 mounted on your station ?

Yes,I had till 2 weks ago when Brisque05 have existed. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Do you use automountd subsystem ? Is there still an entry for that mount point in /etc/filsystems ?

Try "smitty rmnfsmnt" to remove predefined NFS mounts.
