Can anybody can help, in COGONOS, how we can create catalogs , because i am new to this BI, field.

Can anybody help for my query.

Hi

Basic skills would be

Impromptu Connectivity to the database
Basic table join experience
Basic Imptomptu list reports, saved as IQD file types used in Transformer
Basic Transformer training, single query models and multi query models etc.

The training course and duration for this would be

Introduction to Impromptu 1 day
Impromptu Administrator 3 days
Introduction to PowerPlay 1 day
PowerPlay Administrator 2 days

You can find most of the info in the online books provided by cognos, Step by Step powerplay, impromptu and Transformer etc as well as the introduction books. The examples provided are excellent.

Hi All

I am Raghavendra working in ITTI as Sr system Engineer

I Like to know which is the best way to create a cubes in cognos either by .iqd files or direct accessing the oracle table what is the advantage if i create a *.iqd file
thru impromptu .

I need one more information for creating a catalog
what are all information we have to consider.
