Hi,

If I stop the routing daemon by doing the following,

# ps -ale | grep in.route
8 S 0 25313 1 0 41 20 620288f8 185 617f095e ? 0:00
in.route
# kill -9 25313
# ps -ale | grep rout
#

will this affect the static route? Please advise.

Thanks......

Thanks feroz!!!
I have killed the RIP route deamon.

However, I am still seeing "UGHD" in the routing table where this particular IP route is screwing up network. I can see that this IP route (with "UGHD") has been redirect to my server, and using my server IP as the gateway.

Hope you could understand my problem.

Thanks again,

Have you tried removing it using route delete destination gateway? Annihilannic.

HI,

Try what Annihilannic told you first. Let us know if you still having the same problem.

Hi,

The route entry will re-appear in my server routing table automatically. Sometime within an hour time.

In what situation, an IP will be re-direct and has been point to my server as the gateway?

THANKS!!!
