At the risk of being flippant. Why, you can't really control how sql server is going to store the data. If you need it sorted in a particular order when you retrieve it do that then. If you are trying to optimize certain retrievals than look up clustered indexes.
I think may be you should consider having a 'Clustered Index' on this field. That way the data could be ordered and stored in the table. What's more it also maintains an index.
