Hi Guys

I have written a client server application which I would like to package
into an installation cd. I currenlty use the Windows installer that comes
with Visual Studio. My problem is how do I deploy the SQL database. I have
seen setup applications that install databases, they usuall ask for the
server name, "sa" user name and password, but I can't seem to find how these
deployment packages are written. If there is anyone who can help I would
highly appreciate it

Hi, in SQL Server you can ask it to generate a script. Send the script with the CD and setup your app that the script is run while the installation is going on.

I have done that my problem comes at the point of deployment. Where and how do you execute the script when you are installing the application
