LOOKS LIKE SOMEKIND OF PC APPLICATION, IF IT'S LOGGING AT THE RECEPTIONIST JUST DISABLE AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. I DON'T EVEN TURN THAT ON

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

PC Application?? the only thing running is a Stand Alone Cinphony I and a Call Pilot 150?? What do you mean by just disabling?

This event code is not in my book. I'll try to find out what this one means. I would not disable event/alarm codes from displaying on a set. There's usually a reason for them. checkin on it...

You definitely need to determine the problem and ID that code. I will check my resources also.

event code 995.. i have no clue what that is.

event code 995 = Global Loss
I don't have any idea what it means, but that is what I have

Did you find this event in an event code book, and if so, did it have an action associated with it?

not in a book? any other help?? it logs 255 times constantly even when i clear it. Thanks

I was asking PhonesBrokeHuh if the Global Loss description was found in a book. In the event codes books they list the code, the description and the action for the code.

I spoke with a technician that has been dealing with the same trouble. He said that this event is generating from the ACD. They moved the ACD from a CICS with 4.1 s/w to a CICS with 6.1 and the trouble followed. They have disabled the the alarm set feature on the operator station until the trouble is resolved. You can do this by going into programming: System Programming+Feature Settings+Alarm Set______. It will have your operator extension assigned to it. Hit the soft key under CLR. This will at least remove the headache of clearing out the events. In addition to these annoying event codes, have you experienced any trouble with the Cinphony I? One of the things the tech I spoke with had experienced was it would stop working after a power outage and he would have to delete the setup and reprogram for it to begin working again. If I get any additional information I'll let you know.
I hope this helps!

This is all Im have on the code.

Event code: 995
Reset:
No

Description:
Global Loss
Action:
New Code no information

Note:

Here is the Full description of your Event Code 995, that I found on the Nortel website.

995: G_LOSS_PLAN_ERROR
995: Cause:
995: The Global Loss Plan Engine encountered an error.
995: First Parameter=Loss Plan Error code. Remaining
995: parameters are dependant on the error code.
995: Enviroment:
995: This can occur in any product which supports market
995: profiles.
995: Human Action:
995: The customer should report the problem, including all
995: of the information that accompanied the event in the
995: log. Designers should see unit glb_lss_defs for inter-
995: pretation of the error codes and other parameters.

You should contact Nortel ITAS Tech support for the interpretaion of this code, and if it is related to your ACD you'll need to call Cintech. I hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I am trying to get a hold of someone who can contact ITAS for more support.

By the way. I recently switched over the NAM to stand alone and reprogrammed the whole entire system and ACD and CallPilot Voicemail. We actually did upgrade them to 6.1 and the problem still comes up. I will keep you guys up to date. thanks again.

We have a Modular ICS running XC 6.1 software. When going through our System Test Log this afternoon, I noticed four EVT995-00000005 events logged since 11/29. All were repeated; 10, 2, 24 and 8 times. The only changes made to the system since 11/4 were the removal of a NAM and the installation of a CallPilot 150 on 11/26.

I suspect these errors are related to the NAM being removed or the installation of the CallPilot. However, I do not see any corresponding events in the CallPilot Alarm Report.

I was told that "The EVT995 is 'The Global Loss Plan' and it is NOT service affecting." I just found it by accident in the logs and have not noticed any call failures related to the event.
