Hi everybody!
I have been configurating the TimeOut Settings in tcp-ica connection and I am defined to disconect a user when he is in idle state more than 10 minutes (it`s a test)
It works when the user stablishes a direct connection. But it doesn't work when he runs a published application. Long time passes and the user is no disconnected. Is this the normal way to work?
Too, I have noticed, in a direct connection to the server, that if the user is in idle state and he forgot save the changes in his application, when the idle time stablished is elapsed he is disconected and his work is missing. Is there anyway to recover the missing work?
Thanks for your comments

You can set two timout settings.

1. to disconnect the client
2. after disconnection log off the client

Its better to disconnect the user after 3 hours.
Logging off after 7 hours. if the user logs in after disconnection it should restore exactly where it was. when it logs of after 7 hours these settings are gone. It should teach the users to save their work more often :)

Danny, I agree with you, but I tested with published application and it doesn't work. Although I defined disconnection and idle Timeout, the user is never disconnected, and the state is always active (the idle time is higher than the defined). Have you tested with published appications?

Thanks

Regards
Antonio

You mean instead of entering a servername? yes i have. i have couple of users that login on a server for special programs. When going idle for 3 hours they dicsonnect like anybody else. and after 6 hours they log off like every user.
