Hi all,

I have a problem with a table. The type for a certain field was autonumber and was incremented by 1 for every new record. Then someone changed this to random. A number is then randomly chosen and put in the field. The data in the autonumber field is changeable. I am trying to get it to increment by one again but it does not allow me to go from random to incremental. Is there any other way to do this?

What I would do is create a new autonumber field...

Make that field look how you want it to... then delete the old one that's random and rename the new one...

Now, there may be a much easier or better way.. But i'm not that great with access... I'm good with the vba part and can't think of any way for that...
