Hi all,

I am trying to do a network installation of Win98 but can't get the setup program to run.
I have a clean machine (format c:) and a working network boot disk. The boot disk connects me to the server share and I can see the Win98 setup files from the client but when I run setup.exe I get the message "windows setup req's largest executable program size to be at least 442368 bytes to run" and then it exits to A:Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

TIA,

did you make the bootdisk your self or did it come from Nt if you made it your self you may need to add some lines to config.sys to enable himem

I prefere to pull the cab file over the network then run setup from the machine

hope this helps

It's an NT made boot disk...I don't get it...
Here is a copy of the config.sys file...

Any ideas what might be wrong?

files=30
buffers=30
device=a:\net\HIMEM.SYS
device=a:\net\ifshlp.sys
lastdrive=z
