I had a similar problem recently, download and install 32Bit Java as well as your current 64Bit Java install and try again.
You should re-complete the 'Client Preparation' as well on the Assistant

Also note that some of the WBM on the boards is VERY picky about what browser you use. I use Firefox for almost all of my regular daily maintenance because it allows me to say "Allow and Remember" to all the stupid annoying certificate error security prompts, but on some of the boards when I go in to WBM I can login and see the menus and stuff but it doesn't let me select anything. If I use Internet Explorer for that everything works fine other than the fact that practically every keystroke or mouse click makes me reconfirm I really want to do that, or it is whining about what Java version I'm trying to use! Chrome is useless in this environment because Siemens/Unify seems to be glued to Java, and every browser on the planet is out to get Java in some way or another. Chrome won't run it at all. From the best I have been able to figure, Safari is just a re-branded version of Chrome, and I can't remember if I ever tried Opera, but I assume that won't work either.

I have one laptop that is frozen in time on Windows XP with Java 6 and IE 8 and that seems to work well with everything, but I have to keep that off the network and in a safe place in case of emergency!
