hey guys
i have an issue with one of our clients
The user complains that he is unable to make outgoing calls as well as interbranch calls.
He can tough call the extensions at his place.

While checking the user configuration in the IP office manager r5 , i found tht the user is configured as a hot desking user
Is this the cause of the issue ?
If yes how can i convert this user to a standard user

Give the user a logon code and ask him to enter *35*extn nmbr*logoncode#.
Then check with SSA on which extension he is logged on to and change the extension number so it match the user phonenumber, then delete the logon code.

Thanks intrigrant i did that for one of the users and it worked. [dazed]

For the other user , i just unchecked the force login in the user config > Telephony > Supervisor settings
i did this bcoz there is no point of having a hot desking user , since each user is assigned to a particular extension.

Force logon is only intended for CCR agents.
HotDesk users will be logged on to the extension with the same extension number as the phone number of that user after a reboot, if the users phone number do not match a extension number the user will be logged off.
