Are Procurve switches good. What kind of price can I expect on a 24 port 10/100 unmanaged one? Do I need an managed one?
I've only got max of 20 peeps on the network.

Please help

Hi, Samm
Yes, they are good but really designed for using in a multi-switch environment. They have a neat way of using unused ports to provide additional bandwidth between two Pro Curves. I used to sell them a while ago and they were around £2000 each.
A cheaper alternative for small workgroups is 3Com 3300 switches.

Phil Smith

Thanks for your help mate, We've decided on the 24 port 2324 but they are in short supply so HP have loaned us a 2524 until they can send us the 2324. Nice of them.
