I have mounted the tapes in ARCserve 2000 and the mount is complete but in the tape list it says my tapes are still mounting. The little tapes to the left aren't spinning though.
It won't allow me to stop the engines and closing ARCserve and reopening doesn't have any affect.
Please help!

My suggestion is to close ArcServe, shutdown the services and re-run the Tape Configuration wizard.
Some how the application does not know what tapes are what...
