This form is being created on a disked based web or frontpgae server extensions have not been configured to send email. please direct your sys. administrator or Internet Serv. Provdier to the instructions in 'Setting Up Email Options on windows" or "setting up email options on UNIX" Iin the server extension resourses kit. if you dont have the server extensions resou.kits, you can find it at and it asked me would you like to remove the email recipient?
I don't know how to use it. Do you have aol instant messenger? so i can ask u question there

Well, if you are setting up this front page form for your own personal server, then you need front page server extensions. If you are going to publish this to a remote server, then you are fine. FP ALWAYS says that, just say NO. What it means is, the form you are creating is sitting on a computer with no front page extensions RIGHT NOW. If you upload (publish) the site to a host that has FP extensions installed, it should work just fine.

Basicly...

If you are going to upload the site to a host with front page extensions, you are fine. Say no to that question..

If you are going to host that site on the computer you used to make it, you are not fine and need front page extensions installed, and say YES.

Hope that helped!

I tried to modify my Submit button. It is always pop up a windows

Try this in your bot.

<form method=&quot;POST&quot; action=&quot;--WEBBOT-SELF--&quot; onSubmit=&quot;location.href='_derived/nortbots.htm';return false;&quot; webbot-onSubmit>
<!--webbot bot=&quot;SaveResults&quot; u-file=&quot;_private/form_results.csv&quot; s-format=&quot;TEXT/CSV&quot; s-label-fields=&quot;TRUE&quot; s-email-address=&quot;nguyen2@uakron.edu&quot; s-email-format=&quot;TEXT/PRE&quot; startspan --><input TYPE=&quot;hidden&quot; NAME=&quot;VTI-GROUP&quot; VALUE=&quot;0&quot;><!--webbot bot=&quot;SaveResults&quot; endspan i-checksum=&quot;43374&quot; --><p>
<font face=&quot;Verdana&quot;>

In that case, you also need an e-mail client set up on your server. POP3 / SMTP

I tried it and it doesnt work either.
I tried the following:
Right click on Submit/Form Properties/ and I checked Send to other and Form name Frankie and I clicked on Options . in action i type mailto:tnguyen@cs.uakron.edu
method: POST
Encoding type: text/plain
and click on ok
And updated my site
and i test my pagge by click on Submit it said:
&quot;This form is being submitted using an email. Submitting this form will reveal your email address to the recipient, and will send the form data without encrypting it for privacy. You may contiune or canel this submittion&quot;

I recieved an email but nothing is there

here is the site
Thank you
Frankie

I shy away from the CGI way. I have never gotten that to work, that relys on the user (form-submitter)'s e-mail client. If you just put an e-mail addy in the field below &quot;send to file&quot; and leave the file field blank, it will use your server side mail. If you have that setup, it should send mail directly to you. Just as long as SMTP/POP3 or the like is running, you should be fine. If you are making this form to go back to you, you may just want it to go to a file in the _private dir. I have run into the same problem, and I did not fully set up POP3 so it didnt work. I was running WinXP Pro. CGI Form submit has never worked for me, and even if it does for you, it does'nt work with AOL. So you would be eliminating a large market. Sorry for the spelling, but I am having my turkey day today and have had a few drinks. :)

Let me know if this helped!

do you have other email so i can send you the attachment so you can take a look for me please? I tried that and it doesnt work..My email is tnguyen@cs.uakron.edu it's using pop3 server there. i set my email as pop3 though. do you have aol instant or something chat room? i could chat with you while help ing me. why do i have to use _private directoy for though. How do you set up the Pop3 things. what is CGI Form. What do u mean about eliminating a large market there.
happy thanksgiving to you
Frankie
