Hi

I have two problems maybe someone can help please.

First
After windowsSE starts up the hour class remain active for the whole time while running the computer? I have checked the entire system to find if there is a program attempting to run that has been deleted but can find nothing

On shut down the computer starts to shut down, then crashes.

However if I do a restart the computer re boots but still the hour class remains active.

I have been struggling with this for a week and have just reinstall windowSE in the hope that it would help. No luck the problem is still remains?

Any help or information that may point me in a new direction would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time

Leonard T

Have you checked the task manager to ensure nothing is running and check the CPU utilization? Matt Wray

Are you on a network? There's a patch for the shut-down on a network on microsoft's site. Here at the college we install that on all of our 98 machines.

Have you ran a scandisk and defrag? It may be your hard drive is soo fragmented it is overloading your processor. Also I would run a virus scan just to be safe. -Brad
