I recently had to reinstall the OS on a Windows 2000 server. Long story short - we just noticed that the service 'Task Scheduler' is not available. It's just not there in the 'Services'. I can add a task, but of course when I finish adding the task, I get an error message that the service is not started. How can I get the service back????

Have you taken a look under Add/Remove programs, Windows Components, Accessories or the like? I'm not sure, but I think Task Scheduler is an option there.

Update your Internet Explorer to the latest version. I forget exactly which version they decided to add it in, but it comes with the IE later versions.
