Help with VoiceMail

Hi. I am trying to add voice mail to a 2616 on an Opt11. They phone did not previously have voice mail. The mailbox is built and will recieve a message, but the lamp wont light up. The first problem I found was the marp for the DN was on another phone so I changed the marp to the main phone where I wanted the voice mail to light up, no good still. So I tried deleting the mail box and rebuilding it, didnt help either. I am not sure if this is creating the conflict, but this phone has a button on there key 2, that is a coverage key. Would this be creating a conflict. Here is the print out of the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a Meridian Mail , try this, setup mailbox in the field message light ext ( 6785), and then in the set ; put key 6 nul.

Well, I figured out where the problem is occuring. Her DN has an appearance on another phone(no MARP). When ever I take that key off of the other phone, the correct phone will light up, but when I put the key back it goes back to not lighting up again. The phone that just has the appearance of her DN, the key is labeled SCN 4121. They want to still have the appearance on the other phone so they can tell when they are on the phone. Is there something else I need to call the key appearance so it will stop creating the conflict.

Put 4121 on key 0 say yes to marp. And then you can put 6785 on key 1. This should fix your problem.

Please try this
on key 06 put the DN number of your mail system
that is to say example
06 MWK 7000
not the ext. of the phone it self

Serge, key 6 is already set to our voice mail DN. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Check the message waiting dn in the voice mail box
it should match the voice mail box number and or the extension of the phone
that is to say you should tell the voice mail box where the light should come on to indicate that there is a message waiting.
log into your voice mail
and review the the voice mail box setup
