For some reason, it gets detected as a DIG STA 8 st startup, attaching boot log:

Already validated the part number, I dont know why is doung this, is a brand new digital card and pri card, and this is being extracted from a NEW Ip office, i dont get why it doesnt appear as PRI

Thanks

Update:

After some troubleshooting, I removed the expansion board of the PHONE8 card, and apparently the PRIU card is being detected, now i get errors while loading the PRIU DSP, any ideas?

Something is very wrong there, there is also no daughter board that should show as "carrier", do you have a spare 500v2 to try, it may not be the cards :)

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it? I haven't looked at my boot log to see if it's different. You say it's a "new" ip office...but is it a v2, v1? What firmware is on it?

Some cards do not function at old releases.

I noticed the same thing...but as he said it's "new" I guessed that was some boot file version or something :)

Yeah not sure. I don't really feel like hooking up a serial cable and rebooting my ipo when i'm not gettin paid for it :p

If i am correct then a brand new IP500v1 came on 4.0.0 and you need to upgrade it first to get it working.
I wonder if that is what is causing this problem.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

They did, from what I remember as well. That's why I mentioned it.

Update:

I updated the old "new" IPO 4.0 to 5.0 (26) the card started working, it gets detected as PRIU, the problem i was having yesterday after all this was that all channels appears as out of service (I suspect service provider fault, to be cleared today)

Question: the Manager complains that the system has more PRI channels programmed than allowed by license, the problem is that AFAIK the IPO comes with 8 channels per PRI enabled, and the customer purchased a license for 2 more channels, that would be 10, is that correct?

That is correct. Look at your channels, and put only the first 10 in service, and the rest out of service (which they are by default).
I knew it was a firmware problem. I'm so smrt.

So not "New" at all then..... it would have been solved quicker with that info. FYI 4.0.0 is a non functioning firmware just to allow access to the system so you can upgrade it to the version you need. And yes adding a licence for 2 channels will make it 10 but you need to add the licence to the system and make sure it validates, then knock all the channel fields in the PRI config down to 10 and the alarm will go away :)

Ok: problem, provider has cleared the lines, but they say they dont see the IPO at the other end, this is the startup i get from the RS232 port:

Any help would be appreciated, the system sees the channels, the card has been changed in the manager to a PRI30, I dont know what else to do, it has 8 channels programmed as R2DIOD, the rest are out of service, and it still complains about the licenses of the channels

Thanks

I think you need some training, boot logs will not help troubleshoot and you are changing the wrong fields to clear the licence error :)

"No problem monkey socks

And yes adding a licence for 2 channels will make it 10 but you need to add the licence to the system and make sure it validates, then knock all the channel fields in the PRI config down to 10 and the alarm will go away"

Nope, it is still there :( thanks for the help

You are changing the wrong fields or it isn't a valid licence :)

Yeeah you might need a refresher in IPO setup...

Maybe I do! but the problem is I am doing this practically "by the book"

another suspect is the Balum, will change that too, thanks for the support.

BTW: I didnt knew about the 4.0 release I found out last night at 11 pm :)

Mine is an R2, I dont have that parameter, I only have 30 channels
